About us

Staci and Ame

Expanding Influences was a dream turned reality. We adore working within our community, supporting, assisting, and encouraging to build a more inclusive and happy society for all walks of life to be a part of. Expanding influences came to fruition off the end of a road trip to Melbourne. Directors Staci and Ame met whilst working in another disability support service and bonded over the passion of working in the disability sector.

We thank you for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to serve the disability community and grow with our clients, their families, their friends and surrounding allies and community members.

Expanding Influences was established for one sole purpose, to provide an individualised experience. Both company directors have lived experience in the field of disability, and even though everyone’s needs are different, they can empathise with the difficulties in finding consistent support and also the challenges that come with relying on others for basic needs to be met.

Expanding Influences is the perfect example of how small business can have a profound impact on those it supports. Providing support to dozens of clients in the Southeast Sydney region area, Expanding Influences prides itself on providing client centred and client driven services to the community. Services range from assistance with self-care activities, social and community participation, support coordination and both community and centre-based activities.

Although Expanding Influences is not a charity, we are also not financially driven. We offer free consultation and advice, particularly if the client doesn’t have the appropriate funding or support. We understand the pressure that can come with applying for funding etc., and support where we can.

Although our staff provide supports within the convenience of your own home, or within your local community, Expanding Influences also has its main, fully accessible, client centre in Caringbah the heart of The Sutherland Shire.

Expanding Influences has an open-door policy. If you are in Caringbah and would like to discuss support options for yourself or someone you care for, please feel free to drop in and have a chat, otherwise get in contact to arrange a face to face or phone meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at Expanding Influences.

Staff work alongside clients in a variety of activities including cooking programs, arts and crafts, Life Skill Development, and a relatively new computer skills development program. It is also a safe space for clients to develop and implement strategies and skills that have been recommended by their therapy team in a 1 to 1 setting. We pride ourselves on making sure clients lead what supports look like with guided encouragement from our entire team, a win for you, is a win for us!
